Pictures attract 22,000 followers

With over 22,000 followers on Instagram, Sanger High School senior Anissa Chang is certainly gaining a lot of attention over on her corner of the internet.

Chang categorizes her Instagram page as “beauty/style,” with many of her posts showcasing her skills in photography and fashion. Not only that, but her photos also show how much she enjoys what she does.

“She’s really passionate about the things she does,” said friend and fellow Sanger High School student Mainhia Xiong.

Although Chang enjoys taking photos, it’s more of a hobby for her. Chang’s main priority is to become a registered nurse.

“Social media is just a hobby of mine,” said Chang, “I actually want to be a registered nurse.”

For Chang, the numbers and statistics don’t matter. What truly matters is the enjoyment she gets from spreading joy and happiness to others.

“I want to spread positivity, and I want to inspire people to love themselves and take care of themselves,” said Chang.

And while she tries to spread this message on social media though her photos, in person she does this by hearing others out. In fact, she is a good listener as her friend Susan Pha described her, as well as saying she was a very caring person.
