One of the biggest disappointments of 2020

Game Developer CD Projekt Red has been hard at work for the past nine years trying to bring us what was supposed to be the most detailed and interactive open-world game ever.
The lead up to the games launch was a bumpy road riddled with speculation and plenty of delays. But gamers were patient, and on Dec. 10, 2020 they were finally able to get their hands on the game that was supposed to rival the likes of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V.
But rather than being blown away by a groundbreaking piece of art, gamers were instead slapped in the face with a faulty piece of trash.
The Cyberpunk 2077 demos and trailers that we had been shown prior to its release couldn’t have been farther from the truth. The game was a complete mess full of glitches, bugs, and crashes. The state of the game was so bad at launch that there was widespread outrage amongst gamers everywhere. It got to the point where the PlayStation Store was offering full refunds to anyone who had purchased the game.
In a desperate attempt to save face, CD Projekt Red tried to assure the community that they were hard at work trying to fix these issues plaguing their game. But the damage was already done. CD Projekt Red lost over 1 billion dollars as their stock plummeted due to the absolutely atrocious product they released to the public.

Not only were gamers disappointed, they felt betrayed.
So much hype had been built up around the game that it seemed nearly impossible for it not to be absolutely amazing. The trailers and sneak peeks at the game looked fantastic, and CD Projekt red was even able to get Keanu Reeves to endorse their product.
But of course, it was all just smoke and mirrors. A big ploy to trick as many people into spending their money on a sorry excuse for a game as possible. Cyberpunk 2077 suffers in almost every department.
From gameplay to story, it all feels very rushed and unpolished. Do yourself a favor, save yourself a couple bucks and avoid this game at all costs.
